Consistency used to be my kryptonite. Here's how it has now become my SUPERPOWER!
Most people are random as hell. And while that may be good in the short term, that doesn't create any measurable momentum to build on.
Consistency can be the hardest thing to maintain when you’re going for what you want. So here are three things that I do to remain consistent NO MATTER WHAT:
Before we get into it, you must know that it’s okay to mess up. It’s going to happen. These three steps will minimize your mess ups.
Have a daily plan and stick to it. Your daily plan is a scheduled routine that you create to manage your day.
Schedule your day.
Create planned break times.
Create blocks of time to work with ZERO DISTRACTIONS (no social media, TVs, etc).
Take everything one task at a time. You won’t be able to solve every issue that comes up. So take things one step at a time. Become a master FINISHER.
Create a task list no bigger than your top 3 things you must compete.
Finish one task at a time.
Learn to finish what you start.
Maximize every second of the day. This is hard for most people because they get sidetracked. Here’s how to stay focused to maximize:
Get rid of all distractions
Work for a 3 hour block with intense focus to complete activities.
Work as if your life depended on you finishing the task.
REWARD YOURSELF AT THE END.
Consistency is challenging but when you have a winning formula and you get results, consistency becomes fun.
